Steinbock has multidisciplinary teams in their Brazilian offices and abroad, with employees coming from a variety of backgrounds including Investment Banking, Proprietary Trading, Private Equity, Commerce, Engineering, Real Estate and Agribusiness. Steinbock’s Management have previously worked on Wall Street for major firms including Citi, Perella Weinberg, Itaú BBA and Violy & Company.
PASCAL SALVATI

Pascal Salvati holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College, with a major in Finance, Investments and Economics. Mr. Salvati spent seven years (2001 – 2008) working at Citigroup in New York where he started off in e-commerce running Citigroup’s Latam trading platform then became a G10 FX trader and his last position was Head of Institutional Sales and Trading for G10 FX Latin America. He advised and traded with Top Tier Local and Global Corporates as well as most Latin American Central Banks and hedge funds. During his last two years as Head of G10 FX Sales and Trading, the volume traded through Citigroup’s Latin America division grew over 10-fold. In 2008, this saw Citigroup’s LatAm division land the top spot in the prestigious Euromoney tables, the only region covered by Citigroup to attain the top ranking that year. In 2009, in anticipation of an international airport being built Mr. Salvati oversaw the acquisition for Steinbock investors of over 550 hectares and 4km of developable beachfront land in the state of Ceará, Brazil. 28 different pieces of land were acquired over the last 14 years and a 1.5 million square meter masterplan is currently under development. The most recent venture was the acquisition and development of a 200 Room resort and convention center in Rome, Italy that will open in 2024 under one of the leading international flags. Pascal is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English.
SIMÓN ARAÚJO PELÁEZ

Simón is and Investment Professional with 30 years of experience in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity fields.
He developed his craft in Wall Street where he worked at Investment Banking Firms as Perella Weinberg Partners and Violy, Byorum & Partners on the Advisory side. He has had exposure to Europe where he worked as an Investor for Latin America at Massena Capital Partners. Most of his exposure has been to this Region although he has worked in US-Europe cross border transactions for over $40 billion as well. In total, he has worked in projects worth over $80 billion. He has been a Board Member of companies as Valorem, Propilco and Avianca amongst others.
Mr. Araujo obtained his bachelor’s degree at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, with a major in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Literature and Philosophy. He also did the Executive MBA at HEC Paris.
ALI-REZA VAHABZADEH

Ali-Reza (“A-R”) brings over 20 years of financial services, business development, and public policy experience to Steinbock. A-R has worked across multiple continents advising and representing clients ranging from multinational companies and sovereign wealth funds in Europe and the Middle East to a trade association with over 250,000 members in Washington, DC. In recent years, he has represented his clients before lawmakers in Washington DC in order to help achieve their public policy objectives and to help grow their respective businesses.
A-R is proud of the achievements he was able to secure during each of his roles prior to joining Steinbock. Some highlights include being part of the deal team at Citi Private Bank that brought on the cornerstone investor for the Glencore IPO, which was the largest at its time. While at Far Hills Group, he helped the firm broaden its reach in the Middle East in key markets such as the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, while strengthening their relations and client base in France, Switzerland, and the Benelux region. At Engadine, he was successful in securing strategic capital for the growth of a healthcare business.
At JP Morgan Private Bank in Palo Alto, he worked with technology entrepreneurs and some of the leading companies in the areas including Google and Twitter. Most recently, at the American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN), he served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Co-Founder, Jeffrey Hollender (Co-Founder and former CEO of Seventh Generation), one of the leading social entrepreneurs. During his tenure, he grew ASBN’s membership by 200% and worked with companies such as Patagonia, King Arthur Baking, Pirelli and Allbirds. He also represented member companies before policymakers from Capitol Hill, The White House, Department of Labor, and Securities & Exchange Commission.
A-R is known to be a connector of teams and people who takes pride in developing and mentoring high-performing staff, building bridges between diverse groups, and working with stakeholders of all levels and functions to align activities with a common vision of success. He is fluent in French and Farsi and conversational in Arabic and Italian.
SHAWN AMSLER

Shawn Amsler has over 20 years of experience in real estate and hotel development with firms including Turner Construction Company and Viceroy Hotels. Turner Construction is the largest domestic contractor in the United States with over $14 billion in revenues in 2021. Shawn worked in the construction budgeting department and oversaw the budget construction estimates for hotels.
From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Amsler served as Preconstruction Manager for Viceroy Hotels during the development of the Viceroy Anguilla Resorts and Residences (now the Four Seasons Anguilla) in the British West Indies. In 2013, he advised Timbers Resorts during the recapitalization of the Castello di Casole Hotel in Tuscany, Italy, which was recognized in 2017 by Travel+Leisure as the Best Resort Hotel in Europe. Mr. Amsler currently serves on the adjunct faculty of Columbia University and New York University. He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Shawn has been on the team since 2018 and has visited the property many times preparing the financial projections with Deepak and reviewing the construction quotes with the construction company.
DEMETRIO MANCINI
Project Manager
Demetrio Mancini studied law at La Sapienza University in Rome from 1993-1999. During his studies he also worked for Aurea SRL overseeing real estate procurement and construction, as well as drafting public procurement contracts. From 2000 until 2015, he worked at AMI Real Estate, performing various functions including sales, review and negotiation of contracts, auditing of expenditures, and administrative and financial forecasting. He has successfully overseen the construction of many large scale Italian properties such as the Grand Hotel Molino Stucky in Venice and the Piazza Navigatori, the Pantanella residential project and the Altamira Residential project in Rome among many others.
He has served as Manager of Progefin SRL, Orrizonti SRL, and Aurea Immobiliare SRL, for the development of land and the subsequent sale and rental of those properties. He is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.
MARZIO MARTINELLI

Mr. Martinelli has 25 years of experience as an auditor and financial controller. In the last 15 years, he has served as controller or CFO of Swiss companies in the technology and gas distribution industries. Mr. Martinelli brings Swiss best practices and experience in implementing financial controls to Steinbock’s farm operations in Brazil.
