SIMÓN ARAÚJO PELÁEZ

Founder and President at Beta Capital Advisors, SAS, Senior Managing Director at Steinbock Financial Group, SA, Board Member at Valorem, SA (the Santo Domingo family holding in Colombia) and Managing Director at Violy & Company, LLC. Mr Araujo is a financial and business specialist with over 27 years of experience in the investment banking field and over $86 billion in advisory projects or closed transactions. Prior, Mr. Araújo was a Managing Director at Massena Capital Partners, a Private Equity fund of the Massena Group, based in Paris, France, and was in charge of direct investments in Europe and Latin America.
Before that, Mr. Araújo was a Director at Perella Weinberg Partners based in New York City, since its foundation, where he lead the advisory team that closed the first deal of the Firm in Italy for $1.5 billion and participated in cross-border transactions (US-Europe) for over US$40.0 billion. Previously and for 12 years, Mr. Araújo worked at the leading investment banking firm for Latin America at the time, Violy, Byorum & Partners, in New York City. At the Firm, Mr. Araújo ascended from being an Associate to being a Director within three years, reaching the position at 26 years of age. There, he advised the most prestigious and largest economic groups throughout Latin America as well as American and European multinationals in the region. He was in charge of multiple teams where over twenty people reported to him. Mr. Araújo closed multiple transactions across different sectors and throughout the Region for over US$6 billion. He was also in charge of training Associates and Analysts. During this time, Mr. Araújo was a Board Member of Valores Bavaria, now Valorem, Sofasa, Propilco and Biofilm.
Mr. Araújo initiated his career at the boutique investment bank Estrategias Corporativas in Bogotá, Colombia at the age of 19, while completing his studies. There, he advised the leading economic groups in the country. Mr. Araújo obtained his bachelor’s degree at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, with a major in Industrial Engineering specialized in Finance and a minor in Literature and Philosophy. He also obtained his Baccalauréat at the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur de Bogotá with a Mention Bien in Sciences. He is a fluent speaker and writer in Spanish, French and English.
PASCAL SALVATI

Pascal Salvati holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College, with a major in Finance, Investments and Economics. Mr. Salvati co-founded Pure Brazilian, a Steinbock Financial Group portfolio company. Prior, Mr. Salvati spent seven years (2001 – 2008) working at Citigroup in New York.
His last position was Head of Institutional Sales and Trading for G10 FX, Latin America. He advised and traded on behalf of major corporates as well as the Central Banks of Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay. During his last two years as Head of G10 FX Sales and Trading, the volume traded through Citigroup’s Latin America division grew over 10-fold. In 2008, this saw Citigroup’s LatAm division land the top spot in the prestigious Euromoney tables, the only region covered by Citigroup to attain the top ranking that year. In 2009, in anticipation of an international airport being built Mr. Salvati, Mr. Brumder and Mr. Cabral (Bio’s below) launched a Luxembourg based Real Estate venture which acquired for Steinbock investors over 550 hectares and 4km of developable beachfront land in the state of Ceará, Brazil. 28 different pieces of land were acquired, with current valuations are more than 50x of the original cost basis. Pascal is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English.
SHAWN AMSLER

Shawn Amsler has over 20 years experience in real estate investment and ground-up development with firms such as Turner Construction Company and Viceroy Hotels. He has consulted on real estate finance and development for multifamily and hospitality projects in the United States, Latin America and Europe, advised Latin American family offices on U.S. real estate investments, and raised capital from institutional investors for private equity real estate funds in the United States and Canada. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Amsler served as Preconstruction Manager for Viceroy Hotels during the development of the Viceroy Anguilla Resorts and Residences (now the Four Seasons Anguilla) in the British West Indies. In 2013, he advised Timbers Resorts during the recapitalization of the Castello di Casole Hotel in Tuscany, Italy, which was recognized in 2017 by Travel+Leisure as the Best Resort Hotel in Europe. Mr. Amsler serves on the adjunct faculty of Columbia University and New York University, where his graduate-level courses include hotel development and international real estate investment. He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Martinelli has 25 years of experience as an auditor and financial controller. In the last 15 years, he has served as controller or CFO of Swiss companies in the technology and gas distribution industries. Mr. Martinelli brings Swiss best practices and experience in implementing financial controls to Steinbock’s farm operations in Brazil.
